En 1815, l’insigne Schwedter Adler a été donné comme un insigne traditionnel au 1er Brandenburgisches Dragoner-Regiment Nr. 2 de l’armée prussienne, qui était en garnison dans la ville de Schwedt dans le Brandebourg. Durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, l’insigne a continué d’être porté par le QG des régiments de la 2ème et 4ème escouade de cavalerie dans le régiment de cavalerie 6 ainsi que le Kradschützen-Bataillon 3.

Metal insignia including the traditional « »Schwedter Adler » » badge.
In 1815, the Schwedter Adler badge was presented as a traditional insignia to the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment No. 2 of the Prussian Army, which was garrisoned in the town of Schwedt in Brandenburg.
During World War II, the badge continued to be worn by the headquarters of the 2nd and 4th Cavalry Squadrons in the 6th Cavalry Regiment, as well as by the 3rd Cavalry Battalion.
